Parenting is the most difficult job in the world! One of my passions is to come along side parents to encourage them on this often difficult journey, and to children cope with stresses of life as well. This can occur in a variety of ways: Individual counseling, family therapy or participation in a parenting class. My aim is to help parents with strengthening their bond with their children, improving confidence as parents, and creating deeper trust within the parental relationship.

I have specialized training in working with adopted and foster families. It is not unusual for children in transitions to exhibit severe behavior or emotional problems. I am a certified instructor of the BCI institute, which specializes in pre and post adoption. No parent should walk alone in this journey. I offer support groups for parents, as well as individual and family counseling.

I am certified as a Registered Play Therapist. Although I incorporate expressive arts therapies in my practice, I am also licensed and trained in other models of therapy including cognitive behavioral therapy and client centered therapy.
